Kat and Alex had an amazing wedding day at Ash Barton Estate back in October!
We met back in 2018 at James and Jessica’s wedding just a few miles away, Kat was totally owning her fabulous bump with baby Rufus inside, and Alex and little Wilf were owning the entire dance floor! Needless to say I was thrilled when Kat got in touch to say her and Alex were engaged and looking for their wedding photographer.
Fast forward to October 2019 and their day was upon us! The day began with capturing Ash Barton Estate, the girls and the guys getting ready, followed by a seriously fun song filled ceremony with Kat’s parents brass band playing us into drinks, canapés and photos! Of course everyone enjoyed pelting Kat and Alex with confetti too!
The rest of the celebrations took place in The Barn, which had been beautifully DIY styled with an autumnal theme. Think tiny pumpkins, pine cones, flowers, leaves and homemade chutneys as wedding favours!
After a really delicious wedding meal with seriously good roasties, the bride and bridesmaids stepped outside to do the honorary bouquet throw. So of course the boys followed suit and turned it into rugby lifts (or maybe Dirty Dancing lift, couldn’t quite tell!!). P.S. These are my new favourite things to shoot.
Speeches that made us all weep with laughter were swiftly followed by the party. Living up to his reputation, Wilf warmed up the crowd and danced with his biggest fans to prepare the dance floor for his parents to have their first dance! So many moves, such a packed dance floor, it was irresistible not to dance too (lets be honest here, I don’t need much convincing)!! We had the best time being Kat and Alex’s Ash Barton Estate wedding photographers - a million thank you’s for having us to capture your awesome day. It’s been a real blessing being part of your lives.
